our Beliefs

  • about the Bible

We believe the Bible is the infallible, verbally inspired Word of God.  All scripture is inspired by God.   It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only unfailing rule of faith and practice for the Christian life. God uses his word to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

  • about God

We believe God is the loving Creator of all that exists, both seen and unseen. God is eternal, completely good, completely just and completely holy, knowing all things, having all power and majesty. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power.

  • about Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything else and he holds all creation together. God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ (fully human and fully divine) and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of all, was buried, rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. Forgiveness of our sins and a right relationship with God are found through Him alone.

  • about The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who indwells all believers, enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer.  He leads us to truth. He counsels us. He teaches us. He is the transforming power at work in the life of every believer, allowing us to live a life pleasing to God.

  • about salvation

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead to offer us new life and that all who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and His life-giving resurrection.  All who believe in Him are in a right relationship with God. We believe all who have come to faith in Jesus Christ for their salvation will never lose this relationship. This security rests upon the promise and faithfulness of God, through the finished work of Christ, rather than upon man's actions and feelings.

  • about The Church

We believe in the church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible confession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal felicity of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
